|Don't Ignore Me|
The development of an individuals’ identity is in many cases formed by our unique experiences, trials, tribulations, and most importantly by the associations of those around us. In this body of work, the individuals have become alienated from their social selves; it illustrates the identities of individuals in our contemporary society by focusing on the psychological dimension of self-importance in the context of specific social spheres. By placing each individual in a state of dismay, loss and isolation, the images emphasize degradation and social exile in their scenarios. Each person appears disconnected from their surroundings and are disengaged with their environment.
Furthermore, each individual in this series poses as a metaphor for the solitude of the human soul. By capturing individualism, the series forms a connection between the relationship of oneself and one’s environment.
